Dan Ayres, Chief Executive Officer
Dan proudly served 24 years in the United States Navy, including nine years of active duty aboard surface ships and with the pre-commissioning crew of the USS Simpson. He later became Commanding Officer of the Naval Reserve Center in Burlington, Vermont, and retired with the rank of Commander in 2004.
A native of Weirton, West Virginia, Dan earned a degree in Journalism from Marshall University and a Master of Science in Administration from Saint Michael’s College. He and his wife, Mary Sheila Lenk Ayres, a retired Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, proud graduate of the University of Virginia, lover of the arts, and master gardener, care for their four dogs, including two adopted rescues.

VICE CHAIR - Brenda Mitchell
A Registered Nurse with a certification in Hospice & Palliative Care retired after serving nearly 20 years as the CEO of Crater Community Hospice, now giving back in a volunteer role. A resident of Midlothian and very active in several local and state-wide civic and professional healthcare related organizations.

SECRETARY - Jeanne E. Holmes
Jeanne spent 39 years in Higher Education Financing, served two terms (8 years) as a gubernatorial State of Virginia appointee on the Virginia Board of Nursing as a citizen member, and currently serves as the Director of Corporate Services for Caracal Products and Services – a certified minority business enterprise.

Treasurer - Mike Coleman
Mike Coleman’s entire career has been in public service which included 34 years in the Virginia National Guard, then 11 years working for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He retired in late 2020. Mike received his degree and military commission from VMI. He serves on the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation, the Virginia National Guard Foundation, and as the Finance Chair for Highland United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. He and his wife, Linda, have lived in Colonial Heights for more than 25 years.

Leah Felty
I am a native of the area, growing up in Petersburg and Colonial Heights.
After attending UNC-Greensboro and Virginia Commonwealth University where I studied marketing, I began my banking career in 1976 with The Bank of Virginia. I worked for other banking organizations in credit administration and management before joining The Bank of Southside Virginia in 1997. I was a VP Regional Manager when I retired in 2020.
Throughout my career, I was a member of several civic and professional organizations, holding board and leadership roles. The last 20 plus years have and continue to find me serving the region with the HBA of Southside Virginia, Sussex County Department of Social Services Advisory Board, and my church, Oakland Baptist.
My late husband and I settled in Sussex County in 1988 where I still reside. I have siblings, family, and friends in the area with which I enjoy spending my time. I hope to serve and give back to the community and those in it that supported me.

Chloe Griffin
Chloe Griffin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience leading high-impact initiatives at Amazon, including Grocery Expansion, Sub Same Day Delivery, and, most recently, Privacy Assurance. She is known for her ability to guide complex programs with clarity, structure, and a focus on long-term sustainability.
Originally from small-town Indiana, Chloe later lived in Reno, Nevada, before relocating to Petersburg three years ago. She has been engaged in volunteer service since childhood, consistently finding purpose in supporting in-need populations and strengthening community resources. Chloe also serves as the Treasurer for the Petersburg Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), where she applies her skills and passion to advance local animal welfare efforts. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her own dogs and the foster animals she cares for.
Chloe brings her professional expertise, commitment to service, and community-focused perspective to her role with Crater Community Hospice.

Paul Glowinski
Paul is a Director of Finance at Capital One where he has served in multiple roles within Finance, Capital Management and Risk Management. He is a graduate of VCU and has a Masters in Business Administration from Raymond A. Mason Business School at William and Mary. Paul currently resides in Midlothian with his wife, two children, and two dogs.

Darryl Stuckey Sr
Darryl is deeply committed to community service and holds several non-profit board positions. He is a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., serving in various capacities and earning numerous accolades, including Neo of the Year and Brother of the Year.
Darryl and his wife, Delisa, are proud alumni of Virginia State University and reside in Glen Allen, Va.

Penny Nunnally
A former Crater Community Hospice Director of Clinical Services, now actively employed at Sentara Health Plans as a Population Health Care Nurse, working with Oncology and Palliative Care members. Penny is a long time resident of Dinwiddie County and married with two sons and two granddaughters.

Nancy Odum
Retired School Counselor with the Prince George County Public School System and a resident of Dinwiddie County.

Bud Yerly
Actively employed as Senior VP and Market Lending Executive with the Bank of Southside Virginia. Married with two children, Bud is a resident of Midlothian.
